Want to create?
You've come to the right place. My creative course will help you learn how to draw flowers & botanicals and how to paint with watercolors.
Hey!
My name is Romana, I am 27 years old and the face behind this page. I always loved to do creative stuff and started painting 4 years ago and this page 1,5 year ago. I really enjoy sharing my art with you and be in touch with everyone!
I do have other hobbies than painting, I love reading, mostly romance novels. And when the sun is out we love to be on our boat on the lake with friends or just a good book and enjoy the nature.
I really appreciate all of your support and especially the ones who comment and love my work every week!
A lot of you are asking me if I am going to teach, and that is one of the reasons I started the page. I would love to! But it turned out that it’s something I get nervous about! Sooooo… I teamed up and are finally working on something. Hang in there and you will be updated soon
Together we will learn:
Colors and values
Understanding the interplay between colors and values is key to bringing your watercolor flowers and leaves to life. In this section, you'll learn how to choose harmonious color palettes that evoke the mood of your artwork. We'll explore how to use light and dark values to create depth, dimension, and contrast, ensuring that your botanical subjects pop off the page with vibrancy and realism. Whether you're blending soft pastels or bold hues, mastering colors and values will help you achieve beautiful, dynamic results in your paintings.
Creating flowers
In this section, you'll discover the step-by-step techniques for painting a variety of flowers in watercolor. We'll start with basic shapes and gradually build up layers of color to capture the delicate petals, intricate details, and natural beauty of each bloom. You'll learn how to use brush strokes to mimic the softness of petals, mix colors to achieve realistic tones, and apply washes to create a sense of depth. By the end of this section, you'll be able to confidently paint flowers that are both vibrant and lifelike.
Sketching bended leaves
Capturing the natural curve and flow of bended leaves can add a dynamic element to your botanical artwork. In this section, you'll learn how to sketch leaves that appear flexible and lifelike, focusing on the anatomy of a bend and the way light interacts with curved surfaces. We'll explore techniques for drawing the veins and edges that define each leaf, as well as how to suggest movement and dimension through careful shading. By mastering these skills, you'll be able to create leaves that bring a sense of motion and realism to your watercolor paintings.
